I guess its time for another post. Wednesday was not my day. I arrive in my CISCO class. Someone had taken my GOOD linux machine, formatted it, put on XP, and pissed in my face (Well, not really the last). I had a nice working linux machine, with a nice CounterStrike server running on it for the class (Due to our very restrictive firewall, all access from the outside is denied. Well, I had a "backup" emachine thats pretty much a clone of that machine that no one messes with (the previous machine does belong to the class, but, still, thats shitty). It doesnt work that well though, our first connection attempt to it failed. I guess Ill work on it tommorow.
Back in programming, Lamble seems to have forgotten the whole incident from yesterday I think. We had our "test". "This Test will take you today, tommorow, and maybe part of friday," said Lamble. Yea, I finished it in 35 mins. Me and Tim have decided to play some xmen or Simpsons on MAME tommorow in class.
Rest of the day goes on, and I make it home.
I have a haircut at 3. After getting home I walk out to the car and start it up and take off. Haircut gets done, I pay, go out to the car and stick my key in. Turn. RRrrrrrRRrrrRRrrrrrrr. Over and Over and Over. Its what my car likes to do in cold weather. I know how to fix the problem, but I didnt have what I needed (A screwdriver). I pop open the hood, unscrew the cover to my air intake, and take it off. I need a screwdriver to shove down in the choke opening to keep it open while I start the car, but since I didnt have one, I decided to just push it open and close a little bit to loosen it up, thinking that whould help. Nothing. About 20 mins later, I decided to just find somehting in the car to shove down in there. Luckly I had a computer power cable tucked away in the back seat, so I shove it down in the openning, and walk back to the car. Turn. FrMMMM. Yea, the car started perfectly. I took off back home.
Nothing else relly happened today, so now, without further adu..
Tuesday - Survival Instinct
The show starts out with a flashback of 7 and some of the unimatrix "partners" crashing on a planet. Not much explained here. Then, we see a bunch of people on Voyager because Captain Janeway has openned up the ship to anyone on this docking station to come aboard. Namomi (the child born on Voyager) comes over to 7 in Astrometrics and begs her to come eat with her. They eat for a while, but are interupted when this guy with a suitcase comes up to 7 and offers her something. He opens the suitcase, and 7 instatly steps back and is amazed. They are some implants of her when she was Borg. Then, you see that suitcase man and 2 other people talk and say that phase 1 is complete. After some studies of the implants, 7 decides to regenerate. An "alarm" on one of her implants goes off, and the 3 people make their way to her Regeneration alcove in Cargo Bay 2. They try to interface with her, saying she has the key to everything they need. 7 wakes up and takes them out. The crew discovers they are all former borg drones, but they have some type of odd mind link that links them together, and they wanna know how to break it. After interfacing with them, they all discover that when they crashed on the planet, their link to the borg was severed. They were part "individual", but 7 was not ready for this to happen. She orders them to allow to be re-assimilated. When she does this, she makes the link between their 3 minds. After the 3 break the link with her on Voyager, they try to take her out because it was her the whole time that caused it. After the doctor knocks them out, he tells 7 that they can either have the link broken, and live for about 1 month, or be reassimilated, and live a normal life as a drone. At first she decides the latter, but after a talk with Chakotay, she decides they need to be seperated and live a nice full life in 1 month.
